      Zangeres Cyrille Aimée groeide op in Samois-sur-Seine, de voormalige woonplaats van de legendarische Django Reinhardt, waar ze al vroeg betoverd werd door gypsy jazz. Eerst zong ze nog op straat, maar al snel veroverde ze Europese festivals en vertrok ze naar New York. Ze acteerde op Broadway en wist zelfs het kritische publiek van de Apollo Theatre voor zich te winnen. Nu wordt ze alom erkend als ‘a rising star in the galaxy of jazz singers’ (New York Times).

      Cyrille Aimée wordt geprezen om haar meeslepende improvisaties en om de songs die ze uitkiest. Naast standards en moderne composities heeft ze ook Spaans- en Franstalige songs op haar repertoire. Ze was een van de finalisten van de Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2010 en winnaar van de Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2012.
