      SOLD OUT | A Plant-Rich Diet

A Plant-Rich Diet During this event, co-created with the DOEN Foundation, we will focus on the latest innovations and entrepreneurial solutions for a plant-rich diet. Anneke Sipkens, CEO of the DOEN Foundation, and Jeroen Willemsen, Founder of the Green Protein Alliance, will discuss the link between climate action and sustainable food - from how the current food system contributes to climate change to how companies, consumers and policymakers can help lower food’s climate impact! Plant-rich products are essential in reducing food’s carbon footprint. Sustainable food startups will talk about their innovative products, lessons learned, and business challenges.  After getting inspired by our speakers, we will round off the evening with drinks and a plant-rich food tasting! Join our Food Ecosystem This is the second event in our Food Chain series, which is part of our Food Ecosystem. If you are also working on the transition to sustainable food, join our ecosystem of entrepreneurs, corporates, investors, government, and other organisations!  Contributors Opening: Anneke Sipkens, CEO DOEN Foundation Keynote: Jeroen Willemsen, Founder of the Green Protein Alliance Short talks: sustainable food entrepreneurs Doreen Westphal (Botanic Bites), Brad Vanstone (Willicroft), and Mathijs Huis in ‘t Veld (Jack Bean) Moderator: Linda Vermaat, Owner & Instigator TwentieFour Program 19:00 Entrance & drinks19:30 Event21:30 Drinks & food tasting22:00 End More about the DOEN Foundation The DOEN Foundation supports pioneers who work hard to establish a greener, more socially-inclusive, and more creative society. In that society, the capacity of the planet is the starting point; everybody can participate, people work together and help each other with respect for individual needs and possibilities; and art and culture are at the heart. The DOEN Foundation supports initiatives that address these themes, and works together with partners on programs that help them thrive. More about the Green Protein Alliance Experts worldwide agree: the protein transition, or shift, is the most urgent challenge in the food domain. The Green Protein Alliance (GPA) is a unique alliance between 25 retailers, the catering industry, food producers and 10 knowledge partners in the Netherlands, supported by the Dutch Government. Their common goal: restoring a healthy and sustainable balance in protein consumption. Members of the GPA include major retailers and producers, as well as innovative starters. They offer plant-protein food products rich in pulses, nuts, mushrooms, and micro- and macro-algae (seaweed).
